Running:Weekly Recap: Six Dog Walks & Some Food.

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m writing from thousands and thousands of feet up in the air! I’m on my way to San Francisco for a fun press trip with Stitch Fix I cannot wait to explore the beautiful city and spend some time with the Stitch Fix team. Make sure to follow my trip on Instagram, Snapchat (@taralynnmcnitt), Twitter and Facebook!Just to warn you *this blogpost is filled with more photos of my dog than any other post!

I made sure to wake up super early this morning so I could walk Grumples before I started getting ready. I’m not going to see him until Sunday because Kyle and I are heading to Tennessee on Saturday.

I have fallen in love with our mornings together and our walks are therapeutic to me. They put me in a good mood all day. We ended up doing almost four miles. It was still icky outside from the thunderstorms last night, so we went straight for the dog wash once we got back. He was one happy pup!

I was also a muddy mess, so I showered off and made a light breakfast. I am on a new kick now (I know…not again) but I love having a whole grain English muffin with Melt Organic Rich and Creamy Butter Spread, honey and cinnamon! It’s so tasty and perfect for the season. I usually have it with Greek yogurt or hard boiled eggs for protein. I used to eat cinnamon sugar toast every morning as a kid and this reminds me of it, just a bit healthier!
I spent all of last week blogging about my weekend trip in Charleston, so now it’s time to catch you guys up on what I’ve been up to the past couple of days!

MONDAY:
I was so excited to see Grumples when I got back from Charleston. I missed our walks and snuggles. I don’t care how crazy you guys think I am…I love my dog so much. I think being away from him all weekend and knowing I’d be away from him all week made me more attached to him.

I woke up Monday morning, had breakfast and darted out the door to go for our walk.

Breakfast: 12 ounces plain nonfat Greek yogurt, honey, hemp seeds, chia seeds, 1 serving protein powder. I love using the CVS protein powder packets.
We went 3.2 miles and it started to get hot out real quick. We didn’t leave early enough.

I needed to get in a run before it got too hot, so I did 7.82 miles on the old abandoned golf course. It was beautiful, but a pretty slow paced run. Sometimes I can’t speed up and that’s ok! My miles averaged 9:54 time.

I worked the rest of the day and then made dinner before Dancing With The Stars came on!I had spring mix lettuce blend with balsamic, goat cheese, smoked salmon and pecans, grilled chicken, and steamed broccoli with parmesan and garlic.
I had a crazy sweet tooth that night, so I made a mini s’mores with a granola bar. It had marshmallow fluff, dark chocolate and a honey & oats granola bar. It was incredibly delicious! Sometimes the random fixes are the best!

TUESDAY:
Becca came over at 6:00am to walk with me! We had coffee first and then headed out with Grumples.
We ALMOST hit four miles!

I had more coffee and a Greek yogurt + protein mix when we were done.

I can’t stop with the photos!

I made a goat cheese omelet for lunch. It had 4 egg whites + 1 yolk, 1/ cup tomato basil goat cheese and a side of zesty kale chips.
The obsession is real…

Afternoon Smoothie: almond milk, strawberries, banana, raspberries, protein powder, blueberries and ice! (Rug Details)
Grumples loves going for rides out in the country so he can watch the horses and cows. He gets so excited and it’s the cutest thing. I had it on my snapchat the other day. The horses are only out during certain hours of the day, usually after six pm.

My best friend <3

WEDNESDAY:
I made another one of those delicious goat cheese omelets for breakfast with a side of jalapeño pita chips and supremely spicy hummus!
We hit 3.29 miles! I can’t wait for it to get colder so we can hit five miles.

Derpy face…but it was a proud one! 6 1/2 miles ran The weather is becoming so much more tolerable for runs.

Kyle and I took Grumples to PetCo Wednesday night to pick up some new toys and food.
We also ran into Chipotle on the way home…

I always get the salad bowl with half chicken, half steak, corn salsa, mild salsa, brown rice, black beans, fajita vegetables, more lettuce and guacamole. Chipotle has the best salad dressing. If I lived closer, I’d probably eat it everyday. I think I’m going to do a Chipotle style meal prep when I get back. My bowl is always the biggest one:)

THURSDAY:
We hit four miles!

And then he quit on me..

Breakfast: 12 ounces plain non fat Greek yogurt, 1 serving vanilla protein powder, strawberries, chia seeds and honey.

Coffee <3

Becca came over on Thursday night to work. Her office shut down because of the events happening in Charlotte. I made us eggs, ground turkey and caesar salads! It was trying to use up all of my meal prepped food before the weekend.
I made us pumpkin spiced lattes for dessert. This had a little bit of pumpkin puree, vanilla, nutmeg, stevia, cinnamon, apple pie spice, espresso and skim milk.
FRIDAY
4.2 miles.

My dad came over to visit Friday. He helped me put a couple shelves together for the office space. Fridays are always my power clean days, so I spend about four hours doing deep cleans.

I had a delicious afternoon pick-me-up when I was done. It was a chocolate mocha Bolthouse protein drink with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles!

Kyle came over Friday night to hang out while I worked on a couple blogs. We ended up watching Caesar Millan (so obsessed with his show) for hours. We had a lazy dinner thanks to Harris Teeter. We picked up rotisserie chicken, potato wedges and veggie fries.

SATURDAY:
Kyle walked with Grumples and I Saturday morning! I loved having him come along. We did the whole four miles!

For breakfast I had one of those delicious cinnamon honey English Muffins, a date and coffee!

Becca and I stopped at Amelies for coffee before heading out to shoot some photos in my new clothes from Stitch Fix. I’ll be sharing all of those photos on the blog soon.
I stopped at CVS to grab some lens cleaner for the camera and then came across the angel of fall…PUMPKIN SPICED MIXED NUTS!!!!
AND THEY ARE AS TASTY AS THEY SOUND!!!

Sneak peek of my Stitch Fix box! After we finished the shoot, I headed out for a light run and then had a quick bite to eat before getting ready for the night.
